Homemade Make-Up Remover Ingredients Raise your hand if you use make-up remover wipes?  You know the ones I'm talking about, right? The kind you buy, and have to keep buying because of how well they take off your eye make-up. Well, as much as I love those magic little wipes, I really don't like that most of them have lots of chemicals, and the ones that are more on the natural side cost more than I'm willing to spend. What's a girl to do?

*Side note: I'm not about to stop wearing my favorite mascara, because lets face it, I look half asleep without it.

So, I decided to remedy the situation and make my own!  This homemade make-up remover smells fantastic, feels light and non-greasy, is non-toxic and inexpensive.  Plus, it will last you 30+ days (depending on how much you yield at a time).

Homemade Make-Up Remover Ingredients

Make-Up Remover

1 c. warm water (boil first and let cool, or buy distilled water) 1 tbsp. coconut oil 1 tsp. chemical-free baby shampoo 5 drops tea tree oil

Mix all ingredients in a spouted container.  I chose to use cotton pads (30), and place them in a a 16 oz. sealed jar, this way I can make a one month supply at a time.  Put the cotton pads in 10 at a time, and pour mixture on top until all the pads are covered.  All done!

You could easily use coconut oil by itself to remove your eye make-up, and while it works great, I have found that it just leaves me feeling a bit too greasy.  You can also just make the mixture and not put the pads in.  I like how simple it is with them combined.
