WELLNESS SHOT

Wellness Shot Didn't think I was the early morning, shot taking, kinda gal?  Well, I am!  :)  Wellness shots, that is! These shots are packed full of vitality and immune boosters, and are great to take routinely, and especially if feeling stressed or under the weather.

First, let't talk about what I use inside my wellness shot:

Apple Cider Vinegar - I feel like I use ACV for everything.  Ha!  However, for the purpose in this shot, ACV is great for alkalizing the pH levels in the body.  The body naturally wants to be balanced, and if there is too much acid in the body (low pH level), this can lead to low energy, fatigue and so much more  Also, ACV is great for the lymphatic system (allergies, sinus congestion, mucus, etc.), which is why I personally like to double-up on it if I'm not feeling 100%!

Lemon - HUGE immune system booster, as this is a concentrated dose of Vitamin C. Lemon is also a natural detoxifier, which is great for all parts of the body, especially the liver, kidney and digestive tract.

Ginger - Mmmm...I love the zip of ginger!  So refreshing!  Ginger is a fantastic anti-inflammatory, and can help with body aches and general discomfort.  It is also a natural settler of the tummy (nausea in particular).

Turmeric - One of the most condensed antioxidants out there!  Turmeric helps to neutralize free radicals in the body (can lead to fatigue, cellulite and wrinkles), and is great for heart health!

Cinnamon - I love the comfort and warmth of cinnamon!  It has great anti-fungal properties (helps to get rid of things like candida), and can also help to stabilize blood sugar.

Cayenne - Another source that is great for many things!  The main reason why I like it, is that it is a general pain reliever.  Can help with headaches/migraines, joint aches, sunburns, and so much more!

Wellness Shot Ingredients

Wellness Shot, serves 1

1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar 1/2 lemon, juiced 1/8 tsp. shredded ginger 1 pinch turmeric 1 pinch cinnamon 1 pinch cayenne

Mix all ingredients together, and drink up!  For some, the taste may be a bit strong in the beginning, so I suggest diluting it with a bit of water, but this isn't necessary.  Also, the photo shown is a "double." :)

Wellness Shot

I'm giggling to myself as I write this, because I took this shot right before I started writing this post, and now I feel like I'm bubbling with energy.  Ha!  I'm off to the gym!  Have a great day, and let me know if you try the Wellness Shot!
