Happy hump day!  If you live where I live (or in most areas of California), can you believe how much rain we are getting?  I am definitely a sunshine gal, but I couldn't be happier that that rain came, because we certainly need it.  With it being dreary outside, I stayed inside most of the day and cuddled on the couch with a fuzzy blanket, lit a candle, read two books (short reads) and made cider.  The perfect cozy day!

Cider is a fun festive drink to have during the holidays, or when it's chilly in general.  While I love cider, I'm not a huge fan of all the sugar that is most kinds, so I decided to go a different route. Check it out!

Cranberry Orange Spiced Cider

64 oz. spice cider from TJ's (this has zero added sugar) 1 c. cranberries 1 orange, sliced 4 cinnamon sticks

Add all ingredients to a stock pot, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.  I let mine simmer for about 30 minutes, but feel free to do so longer.  All set to ladle into a mug!

Not only does this cider taste delicious, but your home will smell heavenly!  Also, if you want to turn this up a notch, feel free to add a little brandy or spiced rum.  I won't tell anyone!
