Hello there! How's everyone doing this morning? I must say, it wasn't easy to get out of my warm, cozy bed this morning. However, I'm still having a productive morning. Yesterday was way too busy to post, so I am going to consider Monday as part of my weekend recap, too. Just a heads up: it is mainly photos! Enjoy!
Friday night started out with an impromptu date. We went and had sushi (and sake), where I ordered this gorgeous plate of peppered ahi sashimi. It was amazing! As you can see it also had a cucumber, jalapeno and avocado salad. Mmm! After dinner, we met up with some friends for a drink. It was a fun, mellow evening!
Saturday was full of errands! One of those errands was picking up a Christmas tree. While the house was decorated the day after Thanksgiving, we were waiting to get the tree until it was a little closer. We actually decorated it on Sunday, but here's a peek. I'll post more home pics later this week.
That evening we went to a holiday party and had such a fun time! It was full of great food and lots of quality conversations. So great! Afterwards we stopped downtown to hear our friend Jade play at a local spot. I sipped this pretty glass of champs as we listened to her gorgeous music.
After church on Sunday two of my best girls came over to visit for a bit, and I made us my favorite snack. Have you tried it yet?
I was really in the mood for a Caeser salad and more avocado on Sunday afternoon. Such a random craving! Anyway, I didn't have any Caeser dressing, so I decided to make my own. I made about half a pint to have later on too. It was so easy!
Finally, my favorite photo! Last night my best gal Emma graduated from nursing school, and had her pinning ceremony. I am so, so, SO proud of her! I remember when she started school for her AA with the intention to get into nursing school. Then, once she got into nursing school (no surprise), it was a journey for her, and I'm so happy that I got to be there to support her along the way. Of course yesterday was very special for her and her family, but it was super special for me too, and I'm so glad I got to be there to cheer her on (I totally cried like a blubbering baby, too). Way to go, Em! I love you!
Long post, but I hope you enjoyed it! Have a great day!
