Happy Hump Day, friends! How is everyone doing today? I can't believe it's almost Wednesday. Actually, I can't believe it's almost September. Holy moly, this year is going by quickly! I recently had a friend ask me for snack ideas. I love snacks! Personally, I am much more of a 5 small meals a day person, rather than 3 larger meals. Not every day, but most days. I find it just works better for me. I shared these with her, so I thought I would re-post them for y'all too!
6 SIMPLE SNACKS TO ENJOY WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE A TON OF TIME
SPICY AVOCADO RICE CAKE: My absolute FAVE! Avocado is my favorite food, so anything with avocado is always a win. While avocado toast is great, I find that a brown rice cake holds up better, and has lots of flavor, too.
APPLES WITH SPICED PB: Apples with peanut butter was something that I ate often as a child, so this one is a more grown-up version. The only thing that makes it adult-like is the pinch of cinnamon, so maybe I'm not THAT much of an adult. P.S. I'm totally okay with that! :)
SUGAR SNAP PEAS WITH GARLIC HUMMUS: Easy-peasy. Store bought, but full of flavor and nutrients. Thank you once again TJ's. Both of these items can be bought at other grocery stores too. Also, if sugar snap peas aren't your thing, try broccoli, carrots, celery, baby tomatoes, or your other favorite dipping receptacle.
APPLE "COOKIES": These are so great when you're in the mood for a sweet treat! Love the crunchy texture, too!
ALMOND BUTTER RICE CAKE: Again, I love rice cakes! This is sweet, salty, crunchy, and super easy to make. Yay!
TOASTED ROSEMARY ALMONDS: This snack takes the longest (like 15 minutes TOTAL, haha), but is sooooo good! I love rosemary, and these almonds are super delish!
I hope these snack ideas were helpful. What is your go-to snack? I'm always looking for new ideas!
P.S. I have something SUPER exciting coming soon! Stay tuned! :)
